Alemay and Richard both started their careers at a young age and have racked up more than fifty years of performing experience between them. Despite growing up at opposite ends of the globe, together they add their own brand of soul to the genre of music they love most: Jazz. With Alemay’s warm bluesy tone and Richard’s smooth baritone, they bring jazz to new heights with their uniquely refreshing style and unmistakeable chemistry.

Hailed by TimeOut magazine as one of Singapore's "best-loved entertainers", Alemay Fernandez is a rising star on the Asian jazz scene.
She has performed with the likes of The Count Basie Orchestra, David Foster, The Platters' Bobby Soul, William Close & The Earth Harp Collective and opened for Laura Fygi & Incognito. In 2013, Alemay shared the lineup with Natalie Cole, Jamie Cullum & India Arie in the region's premiere jazz festival, Java Jazz, and has sung for A-listers like Kevin Spacey, Ethan Hawke, Joss Stone, Kurt Elling, Lea Salonga, Paloma Picasso, Serena Williams as well as Presidents & Prime Ministers.

Alemay is known for her sultry tone, powerhouse vocals and an onstage presence that keeps the audience eating out of the palm of her hand. In 2012 The Esplanade Theatres on The Bay gave her the award for "Biggest Lungs" at their 10th anniversary award ceremony.

A stage veteran, she performed lead roles in the musicals Ah Kong's Birthday Party (1998/99) Beauty World (2008) and Fried Rice Paradise (2010). When she's not on stage, she helps shape the next generation of Singaporean musicians teaching vocal and performance technique at LaSalle College Of The Arts

RICHARD JACKSON BIO

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to a Gospel singer father, Richard grew up surrounded by music. His voice quickly became synonymous with vocal legends such as Luther Vandross, Barry White, Marvin Gaye & Ronald Isley. He went on to open for legendary acts such as The Stylistics, Regina Belle, Tuck & Patti, Peabo Bryson, Will Downing, Jennifer Holiday, George Clinton, Incognito and Bob James. He has performed with Jazz legends Ernie Watts and Randy Brecker as well as Kenny Drew Jr, Al Di Meola & Ricky Lawson to name a few.

Currently based in Singapore, Richard has been performing internationally at Jazz Festivals in France, Russia as well as throughout Asia and is in constant demand. He combines incredible tone with intelligent phrasing and heartfelt intensity. Along with a convincing vocal trombone, listening to Richard sing is like being covered by a warm blanket on a winter's day
